Building consumer awareness with gamified 360 degree video application

'Where's My Wallet'

Pixelcase are a local WA business specializing in the design and production of innovative digital campaigns using innovations in digital imaging and technology.

My role involved strengthening business relationships with clients and agencies, providing technical project direction, and offering advice and support in implementing innovative digital media projects.

The goal was to promote new card-less transaction technology with something unique and innovative. I coordinated technical delivery for the project, collaborating with agency Saatchi and Saatchi to create Australia’s largest digital image for Commonwealth Bank’s Where’s My Wallet campaign

For this project, we captured over 12,000 high-resolution images of the Sydney CBD from Centrepoint Tower. We then worked on stitching these images together to create a 360-degree panoramic photo. The equirectangular gigapixel image was then used as the environment for a gamified application we designed and developed that would send users on a treasure hunt across Sydney, where several digital wallets were hidden.

– The project involved a total of 120,000 images and had an impressive resolution of 120 gigapixels.
– The campaign received a significant number of 92,000 page views and attracted 43,000 unique visitors.
– On average, visitors spent around 12 minutes exploring the campaign, with winners spending approximately 64 minutes.
– The campaign resulted in a remarkable 117% increase in traffic.
– As a result of the campaign, we successfully attracted 2,546 new visitors to Commonwealth Bank.
